What's New with the VW Taos?

The new Volkswagen Taos receives several exciting updates. The exterior offers updated styling with new interior materials. The standard 1.5-liter powertrain features 16 more horsepower. All models now come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Plus, an 8.0-inch touchscreen is standard on all models.

Trims

The new VW Taos is offered in four well-equipped trim levels:

• Taos S: The entry-level S trim has LED headlights and taillights, cloth upholstery, a digital instrument panel, and the MIB3 infotainment system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen.
• Taos SE: Moving to the SE trim adds 18-inch wheels, remote start, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and wireless device charging.
• Taos SE Black: The boldly styled SE Black features unique black-painted 18-inch wheels, a black-painted front grille, black roof rails, and a panoramic sunroof.
• Taos SEL: The range-topping SEL comes lavishly appointed with leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a customizable digital cockpit, and navigation.

Performance

The Volkswagen Taos is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 174 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, with 4Motion all-wheel drive available for enhanced traction. The Taos achieves up to 28 miles per gallon in the city and 36 miles per gallon on the highway with front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive models return 25 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway.

Design

The Taos boasts a bold, modern design, sharp lines, and a confident stance. Inside, the cabin is spacious and well-appointed, with high-quality materials and a clean, ergonomic layout. The Taos offers ample cargo space, with up to 65.9 cubic feet available when the rear seats are folded down.
